Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC)

We’re offering FREE local parenting groups, starting May 2023 EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities) is a successful, popular, parenting programme delivered by local parent volunteers who live in their own community.

Starting May 2023

Being a Parent (face to face) courses from 1st week in May 2023 (1 x coffee morning & 8 x sessions, 2 ½ hours per session) For parents of children aged 2 – 11 years – all welcome!

•        Belmont & Lancashire Start Well Satellite / All Saints Primary School site (Tuesdays, 9.30am -12pm)

•        Brinnington Start Well Hub (Thursdays, 9.30am -12pm) – creche available at this site

We will also be running

•        Being a Parent Together – An online evening course (workshops)

For parents / carers of children aged 2 – 11 years who attend together, living together / in a relationship or not

•        ‘Living with Teenagers’ course online – this will be an evening and online (9 x sessions, 2 hours per session)

For parents/carers of children aged 11-16 years

Both Being a Parent courses include:  Being good enough, play & spending time with your children, understanding children’s behaviour, discipline strategies, listening and communication, coping with stress and more…

Living with Teenagers course includes: key issues for teens, parenting styles, needs behind behaviour, managing conflict, discipline strategies, problem solving, family meetings, building teen self-esteem and more…

We run the courses termly and our next start at the beginning of May, so please share with your parents.
