Winter Illness – Self Care Information

Winter illness season is now here. We are experiencing an increase in requests to manage winter illness which will usually improve without needing to see a GP. All requests received will be assessed by a clinician and an appropriate response will be sent to you. Please ensure you provide full information of your condition. This

Zero Tolerance Policy Reminder

It is with great sadness to report that our staff are being subjected to increasing abuse by patients registered with the practice.

All staff have a right to work in a safe and secure environment. We would like to take this opportunity to remind all registered patients that those threatening or abusing staff could be reported to the police and then removed from our practice list with immediate effect.

Any patients who are abusive or display inappropriate behaviour such as offensive language including homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and physical or intimidating threats and have had a previous warning from the practice could also be removed from the practice list with 28 days supply of medication and notice to find a new practice.

We had moved to being able to allow patients to walk freely into the buildings, however if you find that the door is locked and access is via our intercom system, this will be due to an incident of abuse, threat or violence. Protection to our staff and patients attending the practice is paramount and I am sure you will understand and want to know that we take safety seriously.

Please treat our staff with kindness, they are here to help you and not be harmed.
