Do you have an unused walking aid at home? Maybe you know a friend, relative or neighbour who has an item they need to dispose of? The NHS is using National Recycle Week, Monday, 17 October, to Friday, 23 October, as an opportunity to start or boost existing return and reuse schemes.
In Greater Manchester, household waste sites are accepting walking aids along with a number of NHS trust drop off points based at hospitals. You can find your nearest drop off point at WRAP Recycle Now. WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) is an environmental charity that organises National Recycle Week.
NHS Greater Manchester is working hard to reduce its environmental impact and reach a net zero carbon footprint by 2038. Take a look at the Green Plan to find out more.
